Review Process & Source Standards
A transparent account of how Tarlonev evaluates, verifies, and publishes men's wellness content — from initial research to final editorial pass.
Every article follows the same seven-step pathway from research to publication.
Topic Identification
Topics are drawn from the seasonal editorial calendar, reader correspondence, and observed gaps in available men's wellness content for the Indonesian context.
Source Research
Primary sources are identified from peer-reviewed nutritional and exercise science publications. Wikipedia and secondary aggregators are not used as primary references.
Claim Mapping
Each factual claim in the draft is tagged to its source. Any claim that cannot be mapped to a peer-reviewed source is either rewritten or removed before the first review stage.
First Review — Factual Accuracy
A second team member checks all claims against their sources. Discrepancies, outdated studies, or overstated conclusions are corrected before the article proceeds to the tonal review.
Second Review — Register & Tone
Marketing language, superlative claims, and exaggeration are removed. The article is checked against the journal's tone guide: editorial-precise, not promotional. Overpromised outcomes are revised to accurate descriptions.
Local Contextualisation
Generic guidance is reviewed for relevance to Indonesia: climate adaptation, locally available ingredients, typical work and commute patterns, and cultural food norms are factored in before publication.
Publication & Archiving
Approved articles are published with their source list and last-reviewed date. Articles are archived with revision notes when updated. Outdated content is clearly marked rather than silently removed.
Where information comes from, and what we exclude.
- Peer-reviewed journals in nutritional science, exercise physiology, and sleep research
- Published systematic reviews and meta-analyses with declared methodologies
- Official nutritional reference values from recognised international bodies
- Documented practitioner observations from qualified nutrition professionals with declared credentials
- Indonesia-specific public health data from Kemenkes and BPS where applicable
- Supplement brand websites or product marketing materials
- Social media influencer claims without traceable primary sources
- Anecdotal success accounts without declared methodology
- Studies funded exclusively by the brand or manufacturer under review
- Secondary aggregators (wellness blogs, news summaries) as standalone references
Documented sourcing with composition verification at every batch.
Active ingredients are sourced from documented suppliers, with each batch accompanied by a certificate of composition. Sourcing prioritises suppliers whose facilities maintain food-grade processing standards.
Ingredient profiles are selected based on published nutritional research and undergo independent batch verification for quality and labelling accuracy. Certificates are maintained on file per batch.
Each formulation documented by Tarlonev carries a batch reference. Supplier documentation — including chain-of-custody records and composition certificates — is retained for a minimum of two years per batch cycle.
Tarlonev is an independent wellness resource focused on everyday nutrition and active lifestyle practices for men.
The content is not affiliated with any governmental or institutional body. No advertising partner or commercial relationship has influence over editorial decisions. Advertisers are disclosed in the sidebar or header of the page they appear on; they do not appear within editorial copy.
Tarlonev does not publish paid reviews, branded editorials, or sponsored recommendations. If a product or service is referenced in an article, it is because the editorial team judged it relevant to the content — not because of a commercial arrangement.
We recommend speaking with a qualified wellness or nutrition professional before introducing any supplement to your daily routine, particularly if you have specific dietary requirements.
Corrections are published openly, not suppressed.
When a factual error is identified — whether by the editorial team, a reader, or a cited source — a correction notice is appended to the original article with a date and description of the change. The original text is not deleted; it is struck through and replaced with the corrected version so the revision history is visible.
Substantial corrections that alter the article's central argument trigger a full re-review through the seven-step process. Minor typographical corrections are handled by the editorial team without re-review.
Reader input is part of the process.
Readers who identify a factual discrepancy, outdated reference, or misleading statement are encouraged to submit it via the contact form. All submissions are reviewed by the editorial team within five working days.
Corrections and content queries do not require a name. Anonymous submissions are handled with the same attention as identified ones. Tarlonev does not publish corrections only when legal obligation requires it — corrections are published whenever an error is confirmed.
